Sourced from the renowned Clos du Bourg vineyard, this cuvée reflects one of Vouvray’s most structured and age-worthy sites. Its shallow, stony clay over limestone soils impart a distinctive tension and mineral depth. The 2024 vintage highlights purity and precision, offering a vibrant aromatic profile of citrus fruits, orchard fruit, and delicate floral tones, underscored by a pronounced chalky minerality.
Vinified as a Sec (dry) style, the wine contains little to no residual sugar, allowing the natural acidity of Chenin Blanc to take center stage. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging on fine lees in neutral oak barrels, enhancing texture and complexity without masking the terroir.
On the palate, the wine is linear and energetic, with a firm backbone that suggests excellent aging potential. Over time, it will evolve toward richer notes of honey, beeswax, and toasted nuts while maintaining its signature freshness.
