Grown on the rugged slopes of Howell Mountain, the 2021 vintage showcases Zinfandel at its most focused and age-worthy. The elevated vineyard site, with its volcanic soils and cooler temperatures, yields smaller berries with thick skinsâcontributing to the wineâs intense aromatics, deep color, and finely-knit tannins. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in small lots, followed by aging in a mix of French and American oak barrels (a portion new) for 12â14 months to enhance structure without overwhelming the fruit.
